The 20th World Electronics Forum (WEF) & 11th Asian Electronics Forum (AEF)

The 20th World Electronics Forum (WEF) & 11th Asian Electronics Forum (AEF) was held at Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taiwan on 5 Oct 2015. CEOs of the Electronic Industries Association from China, Singapore, USA, Japan, India, Austria, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Hong Kong etc. totally 17 countries and areas gathered together to attend the event.

Led by Dr. C.H. Ng, Chairman of HKEIA, the HKEIA delegates attended the 20th World Electronics Forum (WEF) & 11th Asian Electronics Forum (AEF). Dr. Ng delivered a talk and shared speeches on the latest Hong Kong electronic industries development trends at the Forums.

During the meeting, keynote presentations on Green Electronic and Smart Living were delivered by senior officials of the member Associations of WEF & AEF including Association of Electronics Industries of Singapore (AEIS), China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC), Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), Communications and Information network Association of Japan (CIAJ), CMAI Association of India, Consumer Electronics and Technologies Industry Association (CETIA), Electronics Industry Development Adelaide – Australia, Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), Electrical and Electronics Institute, Thailand (EEI), Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA), International Electrotechnical Commission Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components (IECQ), Japan Electronics & Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), Shenzhen Electronics Industries Association, Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines, Inc (SEIPI) and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA).

In addition, the “11th Asian Electronics Forum Innovation Award” was organised and invited AEF members to be the judging panel for the Award. The Award presentation ceremony was held at the dinner on 5 October 2015.

Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA) & Taiwan External Trade and Development Council (TAITRA), hosted and arranged a Welcome Dinner, Luncheon, Culture tour and Farewell Party for all the guests.

It is important to emphasize that AEF is not in competition with WEF, participants of AEF are encouraged to join WEF. In fact the two forums should be complementary to each other.
