Unique Inductive Diaper & Electronic Nursing System wins the The 13th HKEIA Innovation & Technology Grand Award

The innovative and unique diaper won the Grand Award in the annual ""HKEIA Award for Outstanding Innovation and Technology Products" competition held at 2011 Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition). Led by Mr. Frank Leung, General Manager of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), the judges deliberated upon the outstanding functions of the 12 finalists out of the over 100 entries with direct questioning of those finalists at their booths this morning.

The judging panel remarked the Grand Award winner "Inductive Diaper & Electronic Nursing System" of the Ckicom Technology Limited with accurately detection of Diaper's wetness conditions, patentable innovation and successfully draws social impact. "It is an unique with a high level of innovation for normal diapers in terms of aesthetics and usage.

Chief Judge Mr. Leung indicated and concluded that many products are very strong in creativities with exceptional value which meant value goes beyond price and functionality. "Most of them are able to make the best use of existing technology and combined to be a multiple functional product when accessing the market."

The HKEIA Award for Outstanding Innovation & Technology Products, now in its 13th year, is held annually and opens to all exhibitors of the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition). The Award is organized by the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA), co-organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and it is sponsored by AON Hong Kong Ltd. (AON).

The panel of judges included representatives from tertiary institutions, professional organisations, and CEOs from leading electronics companies. All judges assessed finalists with product's innovation, marketablilty, uniqueness, eco-friendly, product design etc. as judging criteria for the Award. This year the judging panel remarked that most of the entries showing a high degree of integration of technology and unique idea on application.

The HKEIA Award for Outstanding Innovation & Technology Products Presentation Ceremony was held on 13 Oct 2011 at Terrace Panorama, Level 5, HKCEC.

Awards of the HKEIA are divided into 3 categories of products: Consumer Electronics, Portable Electronics and Industrial Electronics (Parts & Components).
