LED Focus Workshop

At the "LED Focus Workshop" organized by ASTRI and supported by the HKEIA at Charles K. Kao Auditorium on 29 September, government officials from Environment Bureau, Housing Department and Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) exchanged views with representatives from the industry and R&D Centres on deploying energy efficient LED lighting products in Hong Kong.

 

 

In addressing the Workshop, Board Chairman Dr Patrick Wang urged the Government to extend support to the development of the LED market by laying down clear policies and guidelines and taking the lead in public education. Miss Wu Ling, Director of China Solid State Lighting National Office, and Professor Mou Thongsheng from Zhejiang University were invited to talk about the practices and testing standards on the Chinese mainland respectively. The one-day workshop also featured three insightful panel discussions in which exciting ideas were shared.
