2010 International CES
The HKEIA has attended the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang officiated at the Hong Kong Reception organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) on 8 January. Mr Tang was accompanied by TDC Executive Director, Mr Fred Lam, and President and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association, Mr Gary Shapiro.
Mr Tang then toured the Innovation Product Showcase (Products of award winners and finalists of HKEIA award), the Hong Kong Pavilion Booths and the Central Hall in the CES. While visiting the booth of Fujikon, HKEIA vice chairman, Mr Johnny Yeung has given a product presentation to Mr Tang.
Next year, the World Electronic Forum would be held during the CES show, and HKEIA is planning to organize a tour, information will be circulated later on. The 2011 International CES will be held in Las Vegas, January 6-9, 2011. Some Key Findings

- 3D TV (advancements in 3D technology)
- mobile DTV
- connected TVs with embedded internet technologies
- green technologies
- tablets, netbooks, eReaders and apps
- - The iLounge Pavilion included 100 companies and featured the latest apps and accessories for iPod, iPhone and Mac products
- - Preliminary registration figures indicate more than 120,000 industry professionals.
