JEITA Study Mission to HKEIA

 

JEITA (Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association) visited to the HKEIA on 20 August 2009. Assisted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), a 9 person delegation visited Hong Kong and Shenzhen on August 20-22 with the objectives to interact with related organizations for market insights and to study the mainland and Hong Kong's future development directions of the electronics sector.

During the meeting, representatives of JEITA and Office Bearers of the HKEIA shared strategies of industries to combat financial crisis. Mr. Doro Toshihiko, General Manager - Japan Marketing of Surface Mount Technology Ltd. represented Prof. K.B. Chan, Chairman of the HKEIA introduced structure and mission of the Association. After finished the introduction, Prof. Chan provided a speech and shared his view on "HK Economy - Electronics Industry". In response, Mr. Tsuneo Murata, President of Murata Manufacturing Company shared a general review of electronics industry in Japan.
