HKEIA organized a Summer School on RF Circuit and System Design for IC designer

Co-organized by the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA), The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI/ Electronics Division), The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP) and the Hong Kong Semiconductor Industry Council (HKSIC), the "Summer School on RF Circuit and System Design" was successfully held on 1 Aug 2008. Over 50 participants attended the courses.

The courses started with an opening speech by the Vice-President of HKSIC, Mr. Humphrey Leung. We have invited Dr. K.F. Tsang, City University of Hong Kong to teach the course.

The course aims at training engineers for radio frequency integrated circuit design, with particular emphasis on the design of power amplifiers. Dr. K.F. Tsang, professional in design and develop 3G data decoder, strongly encrypted wireless links for utilities, a portable GSM cellular phone, mobile phone infrastructure, wireless home/office automation system, security system, pager, two-way radios etc. He is recently working heavily on ZigBee as well as WiMax development. We will arrange more training programs for professionals in future.
