Professor Chan graduated with a first class honour bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in 1968 and obtained a Ph.D. degree with a thesis on Optical Fibre Communication in 1972, both from the Mary College of the University of London. He was further admitted as an Honorary Fellow to Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London in 1998. Besides, Prof. Chan was admitted as a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in 2006.
Prof. Chan is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association and the Chairman of Group 27 (Automobile components) under the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI). He is also the Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Manufacturing Alliance, the Honorary President of the Hong Kong Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology Ltd., the Honorary President of Surface Mount Technology Association Hong Kong Chapter and a Director of the Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems R&D Centre Ltd of the Innovation and Technology Commission. In addition, Prof. Chan is a member of the Electronics Projects Vetting Committee for Technology Support Program under the Innovation and Technology Fund, a representative of Industry Work Group on Electronics of Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Convener of the Hong Kong Automobile, Optical, Mechanical and Electronics Industries Alliance. Furthermore, Prof. Chan has been appointed as a member of the ASTRI Technology Review Council, a member of the HKTDC Advisory Committee on Hong Kong/Shenzhen Hi-tech Alliance, a member of the Design Council of Hong Kong under FHKI and a member of the Executive Committee of Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong).
On the academic side, Professor Chan is the Guest Professor of Guangdong University of Technology, Adjunct Professor of Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and has been awarded Distinguished Fellow by CityU. He is designated as the Chairman of the Electronic Engineering Departmental Advisory Committee, the Honorary Chairman of the Advisory Committee (Industry) for Co-operative Education Centre, and the Honorary Advisor of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at CityU. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a member of the Committee on Technologist Training of Vocational Training Council. Besides, he is the District President of Sham Shui Po East District, Scout Association of Hong Kong.
In the Mainland, Prof. Chan was awarded Honorary Citizenship of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, in 2001. He is also a member of Dongguan City Committee of Guangdong Province of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a standing member of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, the Honorary Advisor of Tianjin Economic-technological Development Area and the Honorary Advisor of Dongguan City Tangxia Commerce Association.

Y. K. So is the founder and Chairman of the AV group. AV Concept Holdings Limited is a public listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Mr. So is responsible for the formulation of the Group's overall strategic planning and business development and he has over 30 years' experience in the electronics industry.
Mr. So holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of East Asia and is also a Fellow Member of The British Institute of Management. Presently, he is the Vice Chairman of both of the Executive Committee and the External Affairs Sub-Committee of the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, and the Vice-President of the Hong Kong Semiconductor Industry Council. Mr. So is also a member of the Electronics Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, a Fellow Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, an Honorary Chairman of Advisory Committee (Industry) of Cooperative Education Centre of City University of Hong Kong and the CEO Fellow of CEO Club of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Mr. So has been an Executive Committee Member of the HKEIA since 1987 and was re-elected four times as Vice-Chairman for the terms 1991-93, 1993-95, 1995-97 and 1997-99. Mr. So was also Chairman of the China Sdub-Committee from 1995-97. He is the Chairman of the HKEIA Education Fund, which was found in 2007. He was elected Secretary of the Association for the 2001-2003 term and again elected Vice Chairman for the 2003-2005, 2005-2007, 2007-2009 term.

Mr. YEUNG Chi Hung, Johnny, aged 63, is the Chairman and a co-founder of Fujikon Industrial Holdings Limited ("the Group"). Mr. Yeung is responsible for the overall strategic planning and business development of the Group. He is instrumental in the formulation and implementation of the business policies of the Group. Mr. Yeung has elected the Honorary Fellowship 2004 by The Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries and Directors of the Years Award 2007 - Listed Companies (SEHK - Non Hang Seng Index Constituents) Executive Director by The Hong Kong Institute of Directors. Mr. Yeung has over 30 years of experience in the electronics and acoustics industry. He is an Executive Committee Member of the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, a member of the Electrical and Telecommunications Training Board of the Vocational Training Council, a council member of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency Governing Council, the President of The Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries and the Honorary Chairman & Vice Chairman of Dongguan Electronics Industries Association.

Mr. C. H. Ng is the Founder and Chairman of Suga International Holdings Limited, a listed company on the main board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Mr. Ng is a chartered engineer, a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, United Kingdom and a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors.
Established in 1991, Suga is an Asian-based Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider who manufactures electronic appliances and offers printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and OEM/ODM solution. In recent years, to facilitate business diversification, Suga has increased efforts on R&D of products and expanding its distribution network in Hong Kong and the PRC. Suga's diverse product portfolio covers a wide array of consumer electronic appliances, pet training products, telecommunications products, digital audio visual products, plastic moulds and plastic components injection products. Its major customers are well-known enterprises in the US, Europe, Japan and China.
Headquartered in HK, Suga owns three production plants in the PRC, namely the Suga Industrial Estate in Buji, the Huizhou plant in the Huizhou Zhongkai Hi-tech Development Zone and the Xi Xiang plant located in Bao'an district. The three plants with a total area of over 750,000 sq. ft. are all ISO9001:2000 certified and the Huizhou plastic plant is also ISO/TS 16949:2002 accredited. The Group is devoted to Green manufacturing and has been awarded the Hong Kong Green Mark Certification. The other green certifications it has obtained included ISO14001:2004, QC08000, RoHS & WEEE Compliance and the GPMS Certificate, etc. The Group is also recognized as a "Green Supplier" by Panasonic. Suga joined HKEIA in 1991 and became Patron Member in 2003. Mr. Ng has been an Executive Committee Member of HKEIA since 1993 and Vice Chairman of HKEIA since 2003. In 2007, he was elected as Vice Chairman of the Association for 2 consecutive years from 2007 to 2009. Mr. Ng is a Director of the Applied Research Council of the HKSAR Government and an Executive Committee Member of the Hong Kong Electronics Industry Council of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.

Mr. Humphrey K.W. Leung is the Founder and Group CEO of Solomon Systech Limited. He is a chartered electrical engineer with the Institution of Electrical Engineers and is currently a Fellow Member with the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers. He is the Director of Society for Information Display, Hong Kong Chapter, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Electronics Industry Council of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and Director of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited.
Mr. Leung has over 28 years experience in the semiconductors industry covering IC design, wafer fabrication, engineering, manufacturing and marketing. He worked for Motorola for 16 years and his last functional role there was the Director of Operations who managed global teams to develop new products and businesses where in particular, Motorola display IC business was under his responsibility.
In 1999, Mr. Leung founded Solomon Systech Limited, a Hong Kong based fabless semiconductor company focuses to develop semiconductor IC products and has a global presence in the mobile display market.
Mr. Leung received Young Industrialist Awards for Hongkong in 2001, Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award in 2003, Outstanding Achievement Award in the 10 Years's China IC Design Industry Development in 2004 and was conferred Honorary Fellowship by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2007.

Mr. Wong Chun is one of the founders of, also is the Deputy Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Glory Mark Hi-Tech (Holdings) Limited. Mr. Wong has over 22 years of experience in the electronic and computer peripherals sector, he had worked as a Chief Officer of China affairs for two Hong Kong listed electronics companies, Tomei International (Holdings) Limited and The Grande Holdings Limited. Mr. Wong is presently serving as the Vice-Chairman and the Chairman of China Sub-Committee of the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, Vice President of the Hong Kong Auto Parts Industry Association, Vice-President and Director of China Affairs of the Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers Association, Executive Committee of the GDCC (廣東省東莞市工商業聯合會(總商會)), Vice-Chairmarn of the Dongguan City Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, Deputy Chairman of Dongguan City Tangxia Commerce Association, President of the China Information & Technology Industry Association, Director of the Hunan Overseas Friendship Association. Mr. Cheng Kit is the Managing Director of Airline Mechanical Company Limited (AMC). Established in 1966 as an antenna coil winding manufacturer, AMC's name was based on the Chinese word "Air-Line" which means "Antenna". AMC today has 60 staff in the Hong Kong Head Office with an aggregate capital of HK$42 million. Its three factories in China currently employ around 2,500 workers, occupying a total area of 350,000 sq.ft.
The company is recognised as a "Reliable Enterprise" by the Chinese Government and a "Quality-Culture Recognition" published by the HK Government's Industry Department in 1995 together with five other leading HK companies - Automatic Manufacturing Limited, Chen Hsong Machinery Company Limited, Motorola Semiconductors HK Limited, Outboard Marine Corporation Asia Limited and Swire Technologies Limited. Awarded the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certification. AMC has been one of the leading manufacturers in switch-mode power supply, power transformers, AC/DC adapters, battery chargers and OEM electronic assembly. Major customers include Philips International, Honeywell, Matsushita Group, Sharp Corp., JVC, BRAUN and Flextronics International.
Mr. Cheng was one of the founding members of the HKEIA. He re-joined the Executive Committee in 1990 and was elected Vice-Chairman in 1993-95 and 1995-97. Mr. Cheng was nominated Chairman of the China Sub-Committee in 1997-99 and was again elected Vice-Chairman for the 2001-2003 and 2003-2005 term.

Mr. Eric M.Y. Yu is the Founder and Managing Director of Chequers Electronic (China) Limited, which was established in 1988. Mr. Yu currently holds several positions in public organization in Hong Kong, including Manager of Yan Chai Hospital Tung Chi Ying Memorial Secondary School, Director of Yan Chai Hospital 38th Term Board of Directors and District President of Scout Association of Hong Kong Homantin District. Since 1980s, Mr. Yu has been travelling to different parts of China and set up four joint-venture factories. These four factories specialize in manufacturing frequency control devices such as piezoelectric devices (ceramic filters and resonators), quartz crystal, dielectric, and SAW devices.
The total area and people employed of these four factories exceeds 115,000m2 and 3,000 persons respectively. All four factories have been ISO 9002 certified since 1990s. Since 1990s, the total production capacity and total export quantity of frequency control devices of all four factories have been being the highest in China.
The company is aggressive in developing local and international markets. The "CQ" branded components are now being used by most large consumer electronic and OEM manufactures as one of the critical components in their products.
Chequers Electronic (China) Limited jointed the HKEIA in 1992 and has been an Executive Committee Member of the HKEIA since 1999. Mr. Yu was elected Secretary of the Association for the 2003-2005, 2005-2007 and 2007-2009 term. Mr. Yu is also a current member of TDC Electronics/Electrical Appliances Industry Advisory Committee.
